| Beta News: The Offseason Begins
Saturday, October 9th, 2038: The playoffs are over and another season is in the books in Beta Baseball. Today starts the offseason. Players go on vacation, but general managers gear up for an exciting period of roster moves! The offseason is just about the busiest time for a GM. He must assess his players, coaches and manager to determine the areas of need and ways to improve his club in the coming season. The right moves now will pay off in future dividends.
You may now manually select the league award winners, the option is available in the league menu. If you want the AI to select the awards, simply ignore the option.

 | Liberté Win Alpha
Thursday, October 7th, 2038: The celebrations have begun. The streets are alive with people and the confetti is flying. The Pierrefonds Liberté have done it -- they won the 2038 Alpha. The Liberté defeated the Maisonneuve Marauders 4-2 at Parc Gauche to take the title. Pierrefonds took the series 5-2 for their 20th Beta Baseball championship.
After the game, the victorious Liberté manager told the secret to his team's great season and Alpha triumph, "The harder you work, the luckier you get," he said. "As far as I'm concerned, I'm the luckiest guy in the world today."
The new champions finished first in the regular season with a 89-67 record in the Axelite Division.
